Oh, I'm here.......

Oh, I'm here......and haven't run away at all.

Hubby has the camera in his shop taking pictures of his 1960 Volkswagen truck engine, lights, fender, whatever else he can take a picture of while he is working on it.

It's times like these that we need another camera......

On a brighter note, I finally got a clothesline and I couldn't be happier (unless I had my camera)

Like I told Jennifer, it makes my whites whiter and my colours brighter! and she promptly wanted some of those happy pills I must be taking! lol! Smiley from millan.net

I need to figure out WHEN a good time is, to hang out clothes, because today I was chasing towels all over the wheat field!

Wishing you a Sheetload of Cards!

I made this set of four note cards with Dawn McVey's colour challenge in mind because the papers from K & Company were calling me again and they were the beautiful colours, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, and Ripe Avocado!! YAY me!!

Not a lot of frou-frou on this set, and there are four cards, Smiley from millan.net but it was my first time using the templates from May's Sheetload of Cards so I kind of threw them together!

And the verdict! I love it! You should check Sheetload of Cards out if you need to mass produce or even for some great sketches!

I didn't sign up for the challenge this month on Sheetload of Cards, because I didn't make the attached scraplings but only because something got in the way of my paper cutter and then the wheel fell off and I lost the nut Millan.net and then I had to walk through the field and saw a John Deere Baler and then the beans finally got planted and that would be the whole reason why.
Smiley from millan.net

Anyway, I used Papertrey Ink's Scattered Showers, by Dawn McVey, which I have to say that umbrella stamped a beautiful image the first time! I used Raspberry Fizz and Ripe Avocado ink along with black memento for the sentiments, which are included in the stamp set.

I added a ribbon bit and a button and some bling to top it off and bling on the umbrella too! I actually made envelopes too but that is another bean planting story! Smiley from millan.net

Twinkling Angels!!

Good morning and it's time for another Twinkling Tuesday sketch! Madelynn has her "schtuff" all caught up from last week so we were able to snitch another sketch from her!

This week, I was sent some sweet little digital images from Angel's Landing, so I wanted to use them in my sketch challenge.

I chose the bear with the little birdie perched on his shoulder! Isn't it sweet??!! It is from the Mini Bears and Birds Digi-Stamps section!

Now, I cannot do these digital images justice. There are so many beautiful backgrounds and cute sentiments, borders and sweet images that can and really should be incorporated into your image.

Just take a look at what Broni has done with her images!! Isn't that amazing?? She was able to juggle (technical term) the images and sentiments to all go on one creation!

But I am a technical dummy and I am not ashamed of that. It is just something I can't do. I think because my brain is so full already, that anything else inside it will make it blow up. Smiley from millan.net

Anywhooooo, (as hubby would say) that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. lol! Smiley from millan.net

Please take a moment and check out the rest of the design team's creations with Madelynn's sketch! I am sure they are beautiful!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Digital image from Angel's Landing
Ink: copics
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink Spring Rain and Dark Chocolate
Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny
Accessories: Papertrey Ink ribbon, Fancy Pants felt, Hero ARts adhesive gems, Stamping Bella gem

AND this card of mine gave me 100% Smiley from millan.net grief I tell ya! I wonder how one little card give such a headache? Well, it could be something to do with the stamper, I suppose.......

I used Melissa Bickford's Bird Watching stamp set for my main image and sentiment, and I just stamped it in Memento black ink onto the 2008 Bitty Dot Basics Lemon Tart patterned paper.

Anyway, I love that you have taken the time to come and see my project and I love that you have left me a bit of love.........off to see all the other projects.....!! Smiley from millan.net

Aren't these pretty colours?? Naturally I don't have the Stamping Up colours, but I so wish I did sometimes, but no matter! I dug out some papers from my stash that work just as well. I have some Prima Marketing papers and they were perfect! and yes I threw in a little bit of red, but that was in the designer paper.....totally NOT my fault!! I didn't do it!! It wasn't me!! Smiley from millan.net

These are like a two step stamp and I love how they come out! Everytime I stamped, I just felt like I was creating a masterpiece!! Love it! Here is the other card I made. Sort of a clean and simple one that only took a few minutes! Yes, even I, can create a card in a few minutes!! lol!!

Okay onto our other exciting business of the day!!

Welcome to another release from Little Paper Shop!

I have such a "sweet" set for your today haha! It is called {Sugar} and it features so many sugary sweet stamps for you to create with! This set will be available for sale on Tuesday the 26th of May.

There is also a fabulous chance to win today's stamp set,
so take a look over on the LIttle Paper Shop blog and see what you have to do to be able to win the {Sugar} stamp set!!

I did a bit of masking on my card today, with the lollipops especially. I love how they remind me so much of the lollipops that used to be in my grandma's 5 and 10 store in Watford, Ontario when we used to go and visit for a few days!

I added some Crystal lacquer to the lollipops to give them the same shine I remember waaaaaay back when!

I used my Nestabilities Large Pinking Circles and Large circles from Spellbinders to frame my lollipop image which was coloured with copic markers.

Check around to the rest of the design team to see what they have come up with using this sweet set!

Thanks for looking and tomorrow we have another new stamp set to introduce!!

That beautiful designer paper is from Basic Grey Lime Rickey, cardstock is Papertrey Ink and Stampin' UP!

I honestly can't believe how much that little baby girl took out of me!! Love her to death but Holy Moses, how can one teeny tiny baby whip the starch out of a Grandma??!!

One Fish Two Fish Orange Fish Orange Fish

It's the 20th of the month and that means it''s time for the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen Alumni challenge.

This month our challenge hostess was Christine and here was her challenge!

"A dip in the Lake....the waves on the Ocean, that little creek down the ravine, the warm rain gently falling, a cold glass of water on a hot day...nothing says Spring and Summer like water. This month we're all about H2O!

Challenge Focus: Create a project that has something to do with water, it can be in your stamps, paper, or embellishments. But lets celebrate the happiness of warm weather and refreshing water. Let us know the story behind it too!

Required Element: Watercoloring! If we're doing a water themed project there needs to be some element of watercoloring on your creation.

Restricted Element: If it's H2O that means the two in the equation restricts you to only two embellishments. For example, ribbon and piercing, primas and brads. Focal image shapes like nesties or sizzix die cuts don't count. Let's see how creative you can be with just 2 embellishments girls!"

I am not a watercolorist at ALL but I pulled out my Tombow markers and dabbled a bit with it. Smiley from millan.net

The fish on the left used Tombow's and the fish on the right uses Stargazers metallic watercolours - an VERY old set of paints that I have. I just made sure to spritz them with water about 5 minutes before i wanted to use them.

I studied Debbie Olsen's watercolouring video and tried to make a soft background, but it was kind of a challenge for me....aHA!! ....that's why they call it a challenge....... Smiley from millan.net

Supplies:
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co.
Paper: Stamping UP Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Cosmo Cricket Snorkel
Ink: black staz-on, tombow markers, Stargazers watercolor paints
Accessories: Spellbinders Inverted Scallop Circles, Spellbinders deckled rectangles, rain dots
, Cuttlebug embossing folder, white gel pen.

You are my Sunshine.....

Good morning and welcome to another Twinkling Tuesday challenge! Madelynn has been on the go lately and is so very busy, that her brother Jack stepped in this week to cover for her! Thanks Jack!

If you feel like playing this week, upload your card with the keyword MTTSC23 to Splitcoaststampers of Papercraft Planet OR leave your link on the Twinkling Tuesday blog so we can all take a look at it!!

I love that expression "You are my Sunshine", and when I was at Scrapfest a few weeks ago, I saw that The Scrapping Bug, a Canadian company, was now selling Unity Stamps!! They had Unity's beach set available with that sentiment, so I scooped it upright away!

I am so excited because they also are now handling Cornish Heritage Farms stamps, in particular Kim Hughes line, so it really cuts down on shipping and the exchange in the dollar!

Anywhoooooooooo......on to the sketch challenge!

Here is our sketch this week and as you can see I took a couple of liberties, which seems to be my forte, and I hope that Jack isn't too upset. I LOVED the sketch, but my card kind of morphed into a little more somethin' somethin' while I was creating it.

I stamped the umbrella image and coloured it with copics. I added a few clouds in the background and at the top of the card.

I coloured and stickled up the sun, cut it out and adhered it in the corner, over top of some storm clouds... hehehe . Smiley from millan.net The sentiment is placed over top of a starfish which is included with the umbrella image but I didn't want it to show in this particular card.

Both the umbrella and the sentiment are mounted onto Spellbinders Classic Inverted Scalloped Circles cut out of Papertrey Ink Summer Sunrise cardstock.

My designer paper is Daisy Bucket PlayDay that I got at The Paper Pickle and it is so cute on the other side as well with all the little monsters and such!!

For the sand I swiped away with some copic markers and then sort of haphharzardously placed some Fun Flock on top of it. Now when I look at it, it kind of looks like worms!! What do you think?
I took the photo of the card in the sunlight, which I thought was particularly brilliant! Smiley from millan.net

Take a look at what the other designers have done with Jack's sketch and don't forget to stop around by the Twinkling Tuesday blog!! Today's featured stamper is Debbie!! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Just Agnes....

Smiley from millan.net Smiley from millan.net Smiley from millan.net Happy Victoria Day! Smiley from millan.net Smiley from millan.net Smiley from millan.net

Every year our friends always have the most beautiful fireworks going on and our dogs go crazy diving under the bed and running down into the basement. I usually can't stay up that late (wuss) so we don't go over but we can see them from our door and they were gorgeous as usual!

This week's featured stamper is Joan Ervin!! Joan is always posting a friendly word of encouragement on your creations so I felt that is was so very NECESSARY to do a case of one of Joan's cards!

I chose to case this card of Joan's and as per the challenge instructions changed a few things like the stamp, the paper and I chose to use flowers instead of a bow!

My main image is Agnes Ketto from Stamping Bella and I stamped her twice and coloured the first image with copics. I coloured her skirt panels again on the other image, cut them out and popped them up on top of the main image.

I stickled her wings all pretty and sparkly and then added stickles to the Prima Hydrangea flowers and to the BIG flower on the K & Company designer paper and around the circle of the main image.

I popped Agnes Ketto and the sentiment up onto some Spellbinders Scalloped Circle nestabilties. The butterfly has a beautiful HUGE gem in the middle and a bit of stickles around the wings. Love those Stickles!!

Have a wonderful Victoria Day and I hope the sun is shining like it is here!! We got a frost last night so the campers would be a little chilly I imagine! Oooooooo!
