You're out of this WORLD!

This week our challenge, at Hambo Hoedown, is all about dimension! and of course it makes perfect sense with this "Alien Spaceship" digi image from Hambo Stamps!

So let's make our creations with a bit of dimension shall we?!

I have used the Alien Spaceship with a little dimension - I couldn't get anything in my head except pop dots......of course after I was done I thought I could have used him on a gift box or bag - d'oh!

Yes, he is popped up and I used some Diamond Glaze to cover up the windshield - because heaven forbid he suffocates from breathing in oxygen haha!

I hope you try out our challenge - it's a great one!

Just so you know - Hambo Stamps also has some new rubber that was released last week - check it all out - CA-Yute!!

Welcome Back Students!

Good day and welcome to another Hambo Hoedown

This week we have a colour challenge - RED, BLUE and YELLOW! to celebrate the return of the students to their classes! yay!

I have used the new Hambo Stamps digital image that is available now called "Pencil"! I printed it out several times and coloured it with my copic markers.

I used my new shading techniques that I learned from the fabulous Suzanne Dean, although, I did colour these pencils before I cut them out, so they were all shaded the same way - and then, of course, when I layered them - the shadows fall all over the place - dang it!

I also entered this is into the Splitcoaststampers Colour Challenge yesterday because it was red, blue and yellow - I LOVE it when a plan falls together!

I used the Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder for my background and ran it through some core-dinations cardstock so that I could sand it - oh so easy!

I stamped the date with my own office stamper onto a piece of Papertrey Ink die cut note pad paper and added a Stamping UP punched star with a button tied with twine to finish it off!

Won't you join us at the Hoedown?! It's a favorite colour combo!

HOT HOT HOT!!

Good morning!

Today's CAS challenge on Splitcoast stampers is to use the word HOT as inspiration!

What better way to visualize HOT than a HOT cup of coffee!!

This is me, literally - in the morning!

I used the Hambo Stamps digital image "Coffee Girl", printed her off and coloured her up with my copics. As you can tell, I used a lighter colour of copic to make the polka dots on "Coffee  Girl's" dress!

Sorry for the short post but I am looking after the sweet little kiddies this morning and they need/want/must have my attention!!

Hambo Sympathy

Good Morning and welcome to another Hambo Hoedown!

This week our challenge is a scoring challenge! Of course you don't have to use a Scor-Pal (although it makes it so easy and fun!). You can use your scoring tool in your paper cutter or even your bone folder and a ruler to make your scores!

I used the new digi available today called "Geranium" and coloured two of the images with my copic markers.

I scored the top part of my card with my Scor-Pal in a lattice pattern, and the bottom part of the card has some ribbon run thrugh my new EK success border punch.

I cut out the Geranium images and popped them up onto the card, tied a bow and I was finished! Of course I remember AFTER the scoring that I was going to stamp my PTI sentiment, so I had to do some little fix-ups with a fine tipped black marker - not so bad though!

Thanks for visiting today and take a hop around to see what the other designers have made for their scoring challenge!

Summer Holidays!

Good morning! I KNOW! I am posting two days during the week - CRAZY!!

I'm sure you have noticed that I have been taking some wonderful time off during the summer to reconnect with my hubby and family!

But I haven't been dawdling when it comes to stamping just the blogging part.....It takes a lot of time and since I LOVE to golf, we have been filling our summer doing just that and making time for our grandchildren and other fun things - VW shows, stamping classes -

And....I know you have noticed that I am no longer on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team - purely and totally my doing - Claire did not kick me off haha!- she is the sweetest person and has left it open for me to return at any time if I wish.

This weekend, I was able to squeeze in a copic colouring class with the wonderful Suzanne Dean at Scrapping Great Deals - what a wonderful woman with such a fabulous story and can I say.....she is absolutely drop dead gorgeous!

I took both the beginner and advanced class so I was at Scrapping Great Deals from 9:00 am until 7:15 am with a couple of breaks and lots of time for shopping in between, oh my!

So anyway, that is my summer story - short and sweet! I am having a ton of fun and plan to be back blogging full time in a couple of weeks, if not sooner! yay!

Happy Birthday Monica!

It's a Surprise Birthday Hop for Monica Hunter!

Monica is the owner of Hambo Stamps and tomorrow is her birthday. A few of us got together and decided to throw a little surprise party for her, and we would like you to join us!

If you arrived here via Judy Rozema's blog, you are in the right place. Otherwise, start at the beginning with Jenn's blog so you don't miss out on any party fun!

Every birthday has to have presents, and this one has one for you! One random hopper that completes the hop, and leaves a comment on all the participants,  will receive a Hambo Birthday surprise!

The winner will be announced at the Hambo Hoedown on Wednesday, August 17.

My project features a digi image from Hambo Stamps called, curiously enough, Party Elephant!

I coloured him up with my copics, colouring the head twice so that I could cut it out and pop it up onto the original image. Isn't she cute! I love her coloured toenails that match her party hat!

Okay, so don't forget to leave me a little love and then party on down to Marcie Sharp's Blog to see her birthday creation for Monica!!

Summer Hedgehog!

Good Morning and welcome to another Hambo Hoedown!

This week our challenge is a sketch challenge! Of course I found it difficult to follow the challenge - rebel that I am - so I have a card that is "similar" to the sketch lol!

I used the new digi, available today, called Hedgehog, and coloured him up with my copics!

He is bright and cute and you will love him!  Take a look around at all the other Bacon Bits to see how they have completed the sketch - probably properly! haha!

Little Indian Tic Tac Toe!

Good morning and welcome to another Hambo Hoedown!

This week we were give this sweet Little Indian digi and our challenge is a nifty little Tic Tac Toe challenge! I have never seen this kind of challenge before but how fun!

The idea is to pick your embellishments from the Tic Tac toe board as if you were trying to win the game! Across, diagonally, up and down......!

You can see the Tic, Tac, Toe board on the Hambo Hoedown Challenge blog and......I can't figure out how to upload it to my blog d'oh!!

I decided to go with the first up and down row and chose to use ribbon, die cut and buttons! My die cut is the tag that my sweet Little Indian fit into perfectly, the ribbon is what I tied the tag with and of course you can see the buttons!

Here is a close up of the colouring of the hair - honestly it took me three heads to get it to look like it wasn't a block of black blah! lol! I cut out the head and popped it up onto the body for a little dimension!

Won't you join us for our Hambo Hoedown this week?! and play Tic Tac Toe?
