Stay Cool!

Good Morning! Just a quick post since I am off to Sarnia this morning!

This card is for this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge! I used Pure Innocence Snowboard Boy for my creation - coloured him up with copics and paper pieced him  - I love how it turned out!

I loved using this Fancy Pants Winterland designer paper! It looks like he is taking off onto a hill with the paper placement! I Love it!

Here is a close up of the layering! I stamped him twice, cut off his legs and popped them up to show him really getting air!!

If I could only be so brave haha! Smiley from millan.netSmiley from millan.netSmiley from millan.net

I sewed around the edges again with my cute little Janome sewing machine and stamped the sentiment onto one of the ties of the Die-namics First Place Award die.

Love You!

Good morning! It is once again time for our Sentimental Sundays challenge! This week our challenge to you is to use dry embossing!
Another wonderful challenge - and don't forget to put a sentiment on your creation!!

This week we are being sponsored by Heather Ellis Digital stamps! She is the brains behind those cute little Pure Innocence stamps, and she has offered us a couple of new digi stamps to work with- so cute!!

I chose to use this sweet little thing and inked her up with my copics marker, plus a little paper piecing!
My dry embossing comes in the shape of my favorite embossing folder right now from Crafts Too - called Hearts (imagine that!!)

I used Sweet Stop sketch challenge #141 and an Authentic Papers 6x6 pad for my card.

The dies are from My Favorite Things and are the Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome and the Die-namics Upsy Daisy!

My Martha Stewart Heart punch plus a bit of sewing on my Janome Mini Sewing machine makes it a perfect ending!

IC321, I Love You

Boy, Today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers had me in heaven!- The store is Called Everything Turquoise and it is just loaded with every shade of beautiful turquoise you can imagine!

I sewed around my edge and added hearts to the nest instead of eggs - I thought it was pretty clever hah! and besides, it also meets The Cat's Pajamas challenge which is called Hearts Have It and Susan has challenged us to use TCP stamps and Cutups with hearts in/on it!

Come and join in today at Splitcoaststampers AND The Cat's Pajamas!

Remember when Friday was a big deal? haha...

Today I am using Artsy Heartsy .....again....because I love it and it is close to Valentine's Day - two perfect reasons!

My background is the beautiful Scripty Scripts backgrounder and it has three gorgeous stamps included, each in a Spanish script - I LOVE it!

Thanks for coming around today - I am off to get a new hair-doodoodoo! woohoo!

Totally Classy!

Good Morning! Today is my day to post at the SP and Company blog!

Take a stroll over and see the tutorial on how I put together this little gem!

24 Jan 2012

Absolutely NO Peeking!

Just a cute little number from The Cat's Pajamas stockpile of stamps that I own!

Using "Peeking" I entered last week's challenge from Lori Techler via TCP which was a pretty colour challenge!

I think that might be a Stamping Up! Melon which I don't have,Smiley from millan.net so I went with more of a peachy melon - like a muskmelon!

Using Kaisercraft and Cosmo Cricket designer papers, I paper pieced the little present, colouring and cutting out his little hands to pop up onto the gift!

I used my Janome Mini sewing machine to sew around the edges and then zig zagged the straight border.

This sketch is from My Favorite Things - one of my favorite sketches to use - a keeper for sure!

Have a good day!

Merci!

Good morning! It is once again time for our Sentimental Sundays challenge! This week our challenge to you is to use diecuts! Easy peasy - and don't forget to put a sentiment on your creation!!

This week we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter!

"If you are looking for fun, cute and lovely digi stamps for
your paper-crafting or web design projects, The Paper Shelter is your one-stop boutique! This growing catalog of high-quality digi
stamps with many different kind of options offers a multitude of
themes such as everyday items, holidays, special occasions,
children, adorable characters and creatures.

Stamps are available in standard black and white line art, as well as in pre-colored format. Images are wonderful for
coloring and make perfect additions to greeting cards and
scrapbook albums. In "The Paper Shelter" you'll also find great other
resources for all crafts (or digital) projects, like Paper Packs,
Printables, Accessory sheet, etc."

So I chose to use "In the Twenties" digital stamp - it comes two ways - black and white outline and already coloured!

I chose to use the one that was already coloured - because basically I felt lazy - true story..

My die cuts are My Favorite Things Die-Namics Eiffel Tower and Prima Donna Petals

Of course I used my beloved Spellbinders oval nestabilities for the main image and my papers are from My Minds Eye - a huge 12 x 12 paper pad that I got at my Local Scrapbook Store The Paper Pickle!

20 Jan 2012

You are Awesome!

Today is Friday, so that means it is my day to show off a Scrapmaster's Paradise creation!

I decided to use a new designer paper (to me!)from My Mind's Eye called Sunshine - I love it and the only place I could find it was at my local scrapbook store, The Paper Pickle. Hi Pickle girls!!

I matched it up with a Scrapmaster's Paradise stamp set called Mix 'n Match Sentiments:Friends, a fabulous set with all sorts of fun sentiments to mix and match!

I used this week's Sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers - I think it is probably a keeper - I love this sketch!

I added some stitching which I love to do and some diecuts to accentuate the sentiment!

I Love You!

I am feeling much better today and thank you for all of your well wishes! I love the Stamping Community - yay!

I am way behind of The Cat's Pajamas challenges so I combined two of them together - you probably can't legally do that, but it is done and I like it! Smiley from millan.net

The first challenge was the inspiration challenge which included this inspirational photo

absolutely FULL of hearts! The second week's challenge was embossing - any kind so I fulfilled that requirement too!! woohoo!

Anyway....enough of the woohoo's here is my card
Isn't that little penguin the sweetest ever?!! He is just begging to have a huge hug!! The stamp is called "Got Love?" - love the penguins because if you are not up to colouring - then these are the stamps for you - minimal!!

My papers are from a HUGE 12 x 12 paper pad from My Mind's Eye and I bought it at my Local Scrapbook Store - The Paper Pickle - yay Pickle!!

Off to find the next challenge! Have a great day!

Ticket to Love

Good day! I decided to do the Splitcoaststampers Colour Challenge today since it is a combination of some of my favorite colours - pink, pink and pink!

And you are in for a treat because I even decorated the inside of my card - woo hoo! I wasn't feeling well in the night so I got up and made this card and had lots of time to finish the inside......

I hope you like it! I think I will go and rest....blech....

I Love you This Much!

Good morning! It is once again time for our Sentimental Sundays challenge! This week our challenge to you is to use Ribbon! Woohoo!

This week we are being sponsored by Fred She Said - the famous home of Emma!! and I have an Emma for your today - I Love You This Much digi!

I printed her off on Copic Xpress cardstock and then waited a couple of days for the image to dry.....sometimes on the computer you can smudge your colouring if you are using copics.....so I prefer to let the digi images dry for a few days.

When I was ready, I coloured the areas I wanted with my copic markers and then printed another image off onto designer paper - Yours Truly by Echo Park to be exact! My new LOVE! and paper pieced the image.

The sentiment was die cut with the My Favorite Things Simply Scallops Die-namics and I highlighted it with some Want 2 Scrap bling!

Then I finished it off with the challenge ingredient - Ribbon!!

Material Girl

Today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers is a fun one. The store is called Polyvore and it has some fabulous designer items that are well.....inspirational!

Scrapmaster's Paradise has also had a new release, and every month on their release date, they have a colour challenge! This month's colour is white!! and since I am a Design Team Member (yay!) I thought I would make a card to go along with the challenge!!

THE WHITE CHALLENGE:

Use white or cream as a main color on your project. Have SP Stamps? Great!! Use them! If not, any stamps or products will do. Please add a direct link to Sami's Scrapmaster Blog. A winner will be chosen at random to receive one SP stamp set of winner's choice. Entries are due Tuesday, January 17th at 11:59PM EST.

and here is my card that I made

The stamp set is from Scrapmaster's Paradise and is called Sewing Chic! I stamped the main image (although there are several images) in Smokey Shadow ink and the sentiment also.

The coloured cardstock is Basic Gray by Stamping UP!, Lemon Tart and Fine Linen - Papertrey Ink.  I ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Die-Namics Jumbo Ric Rac and layered them together to create my colours.

The little flower is from the Die-namics die called Prima Donna Petals from My Favorite Things!

Ski Fast....Laugh Often!

Tis the season for snow ......so where is it?! Hah!

Today is the day that the weather forecasters have determined that we are finally about to get some snow yay!

I love snow .....for about a minute....but hubby bought a new snowmobile about a month ago and he has been waiting.....and waiting....and waiting......inside the house. So PLEASE let's see some snow!
Smiley from millan.net

For this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge I used Ski Bunny, and Lilybee Designs patterened paper Head Over Heels.

Oh rats, I have to keep this short......hubby is wanting to go into the city to get some groceries - we are on a diet so I guess that means eating vegetables!!

All die-cuts are My Favorite Things Die-Namics except for the flags - they are L'il Inkers - I don't have the MFT ones :)

Sentiments are all from Ski Bunny!
